well well, im working for NFI on a local dedicated, home er-day account, Now come to find out JB HUNT takes over this account on the 1st. They offered us to stay on the account and switch over to JB hunt, jb is offering more money and a thousand bucks to switch over, but i have heard alot of bad stuff about JB. any input? what should i do? are their trucks governed? any body here work for them, i need to make a decision this week.

I would switch over, that is if your happy with the run your doing and they will keep you on it.
Most all company trucks are governed. How fast JB runs don't know. Could call recruiting and ask.

I agree, if you can get a pay raise, keep the same dedicated account, and most of all if you are happy the what difference does it make whose name is on the side of your truck.

Well, usually one company grabs an account from another by low-bidding the work. And here's ole' Scrooge McJB offering a raise and a bonus, to boot? Somewhere there's a catch....one of which might be that JB throttles their company rigs down to 63 mph. So if you were turning and burning on the pike at NFI with the cruise locked-in at 70 mph, that 7 mph difference could amount to a pay-cut.
Mostly you'll find it's the same BS, different colored truck. There really isn't much difference amongst the mega haulers.

thanks
i was just wondering.. yeah we get to stay on the account which is pretty cool, i just didnt know how JB works, now i have to go to an orientation and all that all over again in dallas area on monday, now i have to use a qualcomm and all that, nfi did not have our trucks governed, they bought a few trux from hunsaker and we werr wide open to deliver from 10-5pm er day, now if jb is slower trux i smell layovers, anyhow, i guess ima make the move and see what it does, hell im home evryday, just remember hearing "damnit JB get yo ass a better set up before you knock my mirror off" at the truck stop, than everybody else gets on the radio and starts talking crap about JB, now im gonna get that rep too, lol.

current jb driver
for the most part not much will change just have to be a little more careful with the logs
every account has it's own rules ran into a jb daycab in tx 6 months ago doing 67 i think he said but mine does 62
been with em almost a year and a half don't like everything about but all in all they have been fair and the benefits are good
make sure they grandfather in your time served with nfi so your bene's and 401k match start yesterday

jb hunt
She considers Prime and outlaw carrier and left cause her ex wanted to go to JB Hunt and they left JB Hunt cause they were getting solo miles and it was getting worse and worse. JB Hunt promises big money but no miles, no miles=no money.

let's try and stay on topic
jb is not a team oriented company
they are also downsizing their otr division because in craig harpers own words they would rather sell trucks then haul cheap freight a lesson to all i believe
the question was specific to a dedicated account not an otr position or intermodal
he allready knows what his miles and runs will be just wanted to know how they would treat him
my average is over 3000 miles a week my current ytd gross pay is 41000
so obviously a blanket statement like that is false if not poorly worded
