I used to know a guy that drove for them. His name was Ryan Yost but sometimes we called him Catfish John to confuse him. Anyways he quit working for them because he had a disagreement with another driver they called Beetle Bailey. Something crazy about hiding a sausage and an ATM. I'm not sure exactly what though. Now he pulls doubles for that LTL company with green tractors. You know the one out of Wilmington Ohio. So whenever I see one of them on the Turnpike, I'll say "Hey _and_
Wheres that toehead Ryan Yost" and one time it was him and he said "Hey Old Boy" I should have asked him but I won't forget next time.

I never worked for them,
but, they did tell me one time, that I priced myself out of the market...
An individual once told me that he would not hire any of their drivers. I do know of one driver he hired, that had worked for them, in the past. He didn't hire on straight from Bennett, though.

I think you will find it difficult to do $20,000/month with most any carrier to whom you lease. I have a friend who is leased to a carrier who does pretty close. I would say he is around $16,000 most months. He has done over $6,000 in a single week, but that isn't the norm.

Thats a cool trailer man. Does it drive itself? What size engine is in it and how do you see without a windshield?
I talked to that guy from _&_. He said you left your belt at his house last weekend. Is this some kind of ploy you're using so you can see him again?
How can somebody think that $5000 a week is not attainable on a regular basis? You were doing that back in 1999 and we still had time to party on the weekends. It will be that much easier with that big raise you got from Brizad today. You could always take that Fizex Frizeight job.
That girl from Georgia replied to Tiz and that horses eye is normal. She wants to see his real picture.

I know a lot of owner operators. I have also been at this for many years. Achieving $5,000 may be attainable, but will not be attainable on a regular basis for most owner operators. There are simply too many variables. An average of $3,500-4,000/wk is attainable on a regular basis for most owner operators. I think you will find most owner operators who lease to a carrier will gross somewhere between $95,000-130,000/year. There are some who can do more, but you will likely find these numbers closer to reality for most owner operators. Keep in mind that most people take a few days off from time to time and there are seasonal slow downs. With most carriers I think you will find owner operators will average between 2,500-3,000/miles per week. With the higher fsc, the top figure could go a little higher. Again, I am talking about averages. There are exceptions to every rule. You see, I also know owner operators who do in excess of $200,000/year and a few who will go over $300,000. Those are not the norm in this business.
