I don't think she understood what you were talking about maybe. It doesn't make any sense to me either why they would tell you that you can't use it. They don't route us. I take whatever route I want but I also use common sense and mapping software to figure out the best route. They will say something when you drive way out of route. The computer notifies the fleet manager when a truck is on a route that is more than about 90 miles over the short route miles. They may say something if you went out of the way to take a toll road when there was a good route that wasn't. It's really a non issue over here as for what route you take as long as it makes sense. I don't hear anything about the routes I take. My fleet manager knows if I take a toll road it's because that is the best way to go. 8)

TK is correct, they don't care as long as it's a reasonable route.

Was super busy! Got 3,000+mi per week for the last 2 1/2 months. Now I'm finally home for 15 days hometime and my one weeks vacation.

Feels great to be home! Good to see you're doing good!

3,000+ is always good. I've been doing good except for this weekend. I had to get my truck and APU serviced and the weekend freight up here in WI this particular weekend has been low and there isn't much at all on the yard. Have fun at home 8) 8)

If I log the way they require... figuring waits at the shipper (food stuff)

and the usual things drivers do in a day..etc...etc,

one might expect to drive not more than 7 or 8 hours a day

with these guys.

Interesting...have to wait and see

( i may actually get some sleep for once in this industry...compared to my last stint)

What, do they pay the maids to snitch on you? I sat with a Marten driver at the BBQ Bar in Carlisle, PA. I had a couple beers, that guys why chugging beers and pounding shots of Jack Daniels. He seemed to like driving for Marten, he also seemed to like his licker!
