Hmmm is right. I thought they had a niche in the LTL freight. LTL freight has been getting more and more popular so this is surprising. Didn't the guy that owns New Century originally start Jevic and then sold it and started New Century ? 8) 8)

Wow...that's a big one.
Rev is right, though. There will be more. Jevic just happens to be one of the bigger players in the field...or happened to be. They shut down 4 terminals last month in a cost cutting move. I'm surprised they decided to shut the whole thing down this quickly.

The website say's they will continue operations, to clear the already enroute freight out of their system...but look at the employee page; http://www.jevic.com/employee/Dear_J...oyee%27s1_.pdf
Would you continue working, after knowing that your benefits have already stopped? I guess all in all...They are doing this better than a lot of companies have done. they are seemingly providing employment assistance, for movong on...but time alone will tell. http://www.jevic.com/employees-information.html

Ironic, the button towards the left says "Moving Freight Smarter". Should have been moving it economically. I wonder if the higher ups will get a severence package?
