Wow!
That's too bad. Additional info: http://www.jevic.com/news/40/73.html Also explains the text message my boss sent me to immediately inform him of places that Jevic delivers to / picks-up from. Bad news travels fast. Rumor has it that a smaller carrier in Wisconsin -- Koschkee Transfer -- has recently gone-out-of-business as well. Haven't been able to verify that yet.

I dunno, koschkee looked like they've had 1 foot in the grave for a while.
And stoughton trucking? Dang. I don't know those drivers, but I know one of their customers, cuz when I drove for SNI we had an account with the same customer. I wonder if SNI will pick up the slack.

If there's any actual slack - somebody's gonna pick it up..
I think I been pickin' up somebody's slack down here in Texas. Anybody seen any UPS/ Overnight flatbeds running? Haven't seen one in weeks in the places where they were coverin' us up! :nervous:

That's a shame...evidently I live on one of their lanes because I used to see at least five of their trucks every day.
They say they will continue operations until all the freight is out of their system...well if an employer to me to continue working after the day my benefits stopped I would tell them where they could stick it, then walk away. No way would I continue working for a company knowing I had no benefits.

Wow, this is shocking! Living in the Northeast i used to see Jevic running a lot up and down the 95 corridor. I used to hear great things about working for them. It's shocking to hear about the closing so fast! I give all employees my best wishes.
