They pay peanuts. I know alot of the guys that run in PA NJ DE MD. I hauled alot of sludge with them in vaccum tankers. Start at like 15/hr for local work. Dont know to much about there OTR drivers. They where getting 16/hr and i was making 19.10/hr. Plus the peterbilts they had did not look that good. The tank trailers where big time junk. Thats really all i know about them.

1. WHY put $$ into a truck for looking good 2. Even the good ones are beat. End of story. When your chugging through 2 feet of mud and trash juice on a daily basis, the trucks gonna get trashed.

I read way too much in I guess. I too wash once a week, and it does look better than many, but it still will never look like a full time on road truck will. I cant say about pay, etc. They fuel a lot here, so I dont see anything but the OTR "dirty dirt" haulers, etc

Roll off service Tankers Van Garbage trucks Now...if you sign on with FCI as an OTR haz-waste hauler, I know several of thier drivers. They are making 45.5 cpm, get $14.75 an hour at the gate. They don't give up anytime. Typically...as an OTR driver for them, you will see Port Arthur TX, Benton AR, and Grafton OH a lot. Those are just 3 of the most used haz-waste disposal facilities that FCI hauls to. If you didn't like tankers, then you have the option at FCI of dry van only work...which they have plenty of. With dry van work, you can look forward to multiple pickups before arriving at a waste disposal facility. Lot's of miles involved there, plus lot's of wait time. Curtis...a driver I know that works out of the Sumter SC yard made $78K last year, averaged 5 days a month at the house, and drives a Pete 379. All the OTR tractors are 379's and 389's. Another company you might look at would be HazMat Inc. http://www.hazmatinc.com/ They are similar to FCI. They other I would suggest is Veolia. More jobs to choose from...if you want to work that hard. http://www.veoliaes.com/Home
