Default Supervalu Minneapolis

I asked about Supervalu awhile back and didn't get much response. Does anyone here work for Supervalu, namely the Minneapolis hub? If you don't want the general public to know where you work, feel free to PM me. I would greatly appreciate it. Just want to get a feel for wages/employment process, etc....

Thanks!

I think you were the only person to respond the last time I posted about them! So you're woring for Supervalu now as a driver? I'm thinking about applying again. I know it is a in-demand job so it can be tough getting on there, but now that I have some experience I might stand a chance.

I think it would be better in the long run than where I'm at now. Just kind of want to know what I could expect at the Minneapolis hub in terms of starting wages and how they manage routes and etc...

Do you start off with a call board? I've heard mixed things.

I used to have some friends that worked for Cub Foods, I may have to find out when they get one of their Supervalu trucks and go talk to a couple drivers...

Depends if there union and what kind of contract they have. Down here your gaurenteed 40 hrs a week and a set schedule posted every thursday with split days off until you get some seniority and can bid on a longer run with consecutive days off. The only thing that you can tell its supervalu is the logo on the doors of the truck, other than that most people dont even know they were bought out. Good luck with getting on.

Heard about the same from one of the guys I talked to up here. They sound like a good outfit. Thanks again for the input.

Only a good job because they operate under a union contract. Would be a shitty job like OTR if no union. Never forget that.
