the protestors are pissed off also because it was supposed to be something else instead of the porn shop....last time i checked, porn didnt rape and kill little girls. tweeked out druggies in meth labs did heh...

And you're kind of stuck here in podunk since you can't park the truck ANYWHERE! Not worried about gas money, we didn't really go very far anyway. If you remember I had to go to work.

ops: I'm kind of a hyper person ALL the time. I just can't sit still for very long. To a "redneck Hillbilly", that probably appears nervous. I know all my relatives in GA and MS are always telling me to slow down and realx when I'm down there. I just can't. :lol:

Well, it's been over 24 hours and Double L has not responded.... sorry, Karnajj must move along-- perhaps he'll respond later.

1988 mile week ( 7 day week--as off end of tomorrow ) And Monday, I got in trouble with Fleet Manager-- for stating I was planning on calling the consignee to find out if they'd take my load a day early-- was told it was against Company policy for the driver to call the customer.
This is only the second time in 15 years of driving, a dispatcher has made this claim-- just goes to show how bad this industry is getting. In the old day's-- that was 1st rule in trucking-- call and find out if you could get in early and deliver that load. Not anymore-- they schedule loads with extra time on them ( more than needed) to have you there to pick up that next load without having to pay any layover( because you took it upon yourself to be "pro-active" and get the freight off early).

i know you might not want to hear this, but your FM's statement about not calling a customer is disturbing. is this really heartland's policy that everyone does anyway, or is this something new?

watching others at my co., i've seen time and again guys who do inconsequential things and nothing is said, but when they want to build a case against someone to get rid of them, those same small things are made into mountains at the drop of a hat.

i hope this is just me being paranoid, but i thought i'd point it out as a possibility so you could be aware.
