I quit Crete for a local gig and Just got laid off. Kinda sux but I think I'm gonna play the unemployment thing as long as I can. Does anyone have any suggestions of a place for a team run that gets home on the weekends? Or any Sweet runs where u get home everyweekend. I gots all endorsements except hazmat and passenger

try UPS freight Dedicated. not sure where you are( im assuming Ohio), but a fellow truck driving student got hired on out of school. i think he makes 34 or 38cpm starting. he does flatbed hauling pipe for feurgeson in the 9 western states and is only out 1-5 days. he likes it so far.

I was out of the Indy terminal on Midwest Regional. I liked it. Could probably go back as TM told me I could when I left. But I'm not sure if I would like to cross that bridge again. Made good money and home time was very good. If u like to fudge your logs I would not do it. They are on you like flies on rice. But it is a very good company. I would say 99% of the time I was preplanned for my next load before my delivery. I was even on a dedicated account once for 5 months that put me home everyday. THAT was sweet. Worked every day and never even came close to my 70hr clock when finished. Loaded out back empty. Even from NYC, KC, PA, obviously those runs didnt get home every day but figured I had a nice gig going so might as well help them out. I usually got my load select 2 or 3 even though midwest regional wasn't supposed to get it. Hope this helps.

I read WERNER layed off 500 drivers! :shock: Lots of downsizing I think.
