Default Crete

Be prepared to stay out a while. And be prepared to keep a very tight logbook. This was the way it was 8 years ago. And I suspect it is even more strict after one of their guys rammed a car and school bus, killing 7 kids.

Default Ok

I think I havestated that Crete is a good company for a few things and there are a few things they do well.

I also said that they are and I mean this. A just another OTR Megacarrier. They have the same probs that any Megacarrier has and will always have.

Now I understand that someone that is paiting a total rosy pic so they can get that recruiting bonus may not like my honesty but tough.

I have stated I have been with Crete it seems a bit longer than anyone else so far that I have seen post. This makes me also know Crete culture a tad I think.

All I am asking is don't believe anyone at Crete or any carrier that paints a rosy pic. They want a recruiting bonus and that is all.

My opinion is mine own and if someone that wants to come to Crete than great but if you do it because you are expecting the best company in the world than you are deluding yourself.

I resent that txdrvr, I speak highly of Crete for one reason. They are the best OTR company I have had the pleasure of driving for. I do what is expected of me and I don't have unreasonable expectations of my employer.

As far as the referral bonuses go, I have publicly turned them down on this board. I am here to give my point of view only. Don't discount my good intentions with your discontent.

Werner, CRE, USX aren't in the same league as Crete.

Crete is a Honda, the other's you mentioned are Harley Davidsons

Why are they paying more, and why are they in need of drivers? It doesn't look like they have a school, is that it? They don't have the big shiny ads in the magazines? Am I missing something?

Should be testing on Friday for my CDL. Tomorrow I'll be at school all day practicing range stuff.

No I mean they are second rate. Additionally, like a harley they don't go very fast, are unreliable, and are overpriced.

In the case of the aforementioned companies consider "overpriced" as the cost of working for them versus a company that pays a living wage, doesn't gouge you on benefits, and has real world paid time off.

Just trying to stir the pot a bit. It seems the level of discourse at CAD is above my trite attempt bait a redneck into a war of the words. I am ops:

Nevertheless my original points stand. Crete is in a different (and better)league than the carriers mentioned in the original post. Harley's can't hold a candle to a Honday VTX 1800. Heck my buddy's 15-year old 1200 Shadow with 50k miles will run rings around a Harley. Take that!!

I think that means you ran out of oil.

(And those oil spots you see under my Hondas and BMW are optical illusions)
