Default Leaving for orientation today

I am heading to Little Rock in a couple hours to start orientation at Maverick tommorow. I would like to thank everyone for their informative (or at least amusing) posts about truck driving and life in general.
I do not have a laptop so I won't be able to post for a month or so, but when I get the chance I will let you all know how it is working out.

Motozeke, hope to see you there next week.

Well, I made it through orientation and load securement training. None of it was too terrible, but they will send you home very quickly if you have high blood pressure or unresolved medical issues. You also really do have to pick up a lumber tarp (120 lbs) and place it on the trailer twice.
The guys that work in the training department are all very professional and do not belittle, berate, mistreat or otherwise molest any trainees. They are trainers because they truly want to help and train new drivers.
I flew home this morning for Thanksgiving and head back to Little Rock Saturday to go out with my trainer on Sunday. He lives no where near where I do, so I plan on not getting home for 4 weeks or so. I can't wait to get my own truck and start racking up the miles.
