I figured better to have more than all my eggs in one basket with Schneider. How is Prime? Who else offers company paid training besides SNI and Prime?

You can check out Interstate http://www.intd.com/ They don't advertise too much about training students but from what I've heard they have a contract with a CDL school in New Mexico. Give them a call to find out more info.
Another you can check out is Watkins & Shepard http://www.wksh.com/ They have their own school. BOL.

truckingtiger be careful in here you said the p word .lol actaully i work for prime been with them almost 13 years and i like it here it fits my life style which is i dont have to be home at any specific time my kids all are grown and out on their own .i; ll be honest as i can be its not for everyone you will be out atleast 2-3 weeks at a time as company driver. and you are under forced dispatch if you are company. on the plus side i talked to some company drivers and most are still getting miles well otheir company drivers such as sni/swift say freight is slowing down . otheir then that i make enough money to take care of my wife and me and im happy .i havent ever had any real problems but i have heard of otheirs that have not sure why they do but it could be number of things like letting fleet managers no whos driving and not letting people push you around.anyway best way to find out about any company is go to truck stop try talking to drivers listen to what they say then form your own opinion.because on any of these forums you;ll find one whos happy and ten that will tell you that company sucks and it dont really matter which company you ask about.

 RUN FORREST RUN is all I can say about going to Prime!! Been there done that and thank God for our tax guy being able to get us money back by being able to show it as a loss...DON'T do it. If your purpose is to get our own truck, don't go through lease programs is all I'm saying.

I do have firsthand experience; drove for them for a year. Prime drivers are usually VERY protective towards the company and will not stop telling you otherwise, even if you have proof the company will run you dry. But hey, they think they're going great and I have to say I know 2 drivers that actually are doing good, but the majority is not. My husband and I didn't make money with them the 5 last weeks we were there so we returned the truck and took off. Don't do it!
