Hey everyone new here.I guess i should start by tellin y'all a little bit about myself. I have been driving local here in Texas for 10 years now. mostly mixers and buses, I got fired 3 weeks ago over some bs with dispatch. I found myself at a crossroad in my life. With only a class B in my pocket my options are rather limited locally. Mainly mixers i'm sick and tired of going around in circles.I've always wanted to drive over the road ever since i was 12. After doin some homework on this site, I decided flatbedding seems like the way for me to go. Better pay more home time, My question is i have applied to Maverick and Tmc because they offer cdl training.How long should it take for a recruiter to call

 

If you really want to work for a company, I'd call them. Just my .02 worth.. You'll find that most companies have drivers standing in line, so why would they waiste the time to call you?

 

get your training where you live... it might save a headache in the future, just my opinion

 

I tried callin both of them, Maverick said a recruiter would call me. TMC i just got the runaround until i ended up at a deadend. that,s why i was wondering how long it should take

 

What recruiter did you speak with at TMC? I'll try and help out if I can. I'm in Des Moines as we speak.

 

First i was told Jerod, when they tried to switch me over to him. whoever answered the phone said he did'nt work there anymore. Then i was told John would look into it. I never got to speak with him, that's why i said it deadended.My name is Curtis D

 

I contacted the head of recruiting at TMC and Jerod DOES still work there and his extension is 3963. Hope that helps. :wink:
