Default Transport America

I'm looking for some information on this company..from what i have read on another site they seems to be a good company to start with..I wanted to ask everyone here if there know anything about them or have heard anything about them..

particurly the equipment/miles/experiences?

I'm good to go with these guys also ,just researching as much as i can because i'm making a decision this week..

Companys i got to choose from are:
Arrow-----------------good to go wants to set up orientation
CFI--------------------good to go wants to set up orientation
US Xpress------------good to go wants to set up orientation
Transport America---good to go wants to set up orientation
Maverick---I want Maverick just Recuiter has called back yet.

I work for TA I have had a good exp. here while others I know would make you think it was another swift.

At this point the best way to put is

Good FM Good mile/exp/ hometime

Bad FM Bad miles/ very bad exp/ whats hometime?/ you mean i can finally return to work after leaving me at home sitting for a wk.

My first FM i loved we got along great but she was fired cause some drivers wear skirts and thinks everyone should kiss their arse.

My "NEW" FM SUCKS when you have to explain why 1615 mi in a wk is bad........ and i stay out anywhere from 2-8wks at a time

Ive been assured that my FM is on the way out if they dont improve but I get to suffer in the mean time.

we have terms in North jackson and grove city, we do lease space in millbury tho dont know why they would want u to park there if you have a place by home you could park it. I dont think any company wants to hear ur going to leave it at a truck stop esp where u live.

If you want figs I will post my total miles/pay for the year been with the company since jan

I have been with Transport America for 10 years. They have made me mad more times than i got fingers and toes. I stayed. Sometimes there are slow spots your you just get the nasty end of the stick. They want to keep there drivers. If you do your job, life is a lot easier for you. If you have a problem and your dispatcher is not helping call the term manager. Thats their job they help you. They will find a way to fix it. I made 77 tho. last year. This year was a little slower but still going to hit 65 to 70 tho this year. Keep in mind i have been here for a wile. You have to start some where and guess what! Thats at the bottom, you work your way up. I am a trainer for the co. also. That helps with the pay, (but dont tell them) i enjoy training and prob. would do it for free. shhhhh. If they here that they mite get ideas. lol It is true a good dispatch good miles. Think about this if you work here and drove 2500 miles a week and made 800 bucks. Or driver 3000 miles for 800 bucks. Dont work harder for the same amout of money! Good trucks, Good pay, Great people that care! I get home every 2 weeks. Again i live in a good spot and sounds like you do too. let me know if i can help you in any other way. OH, one more thing, most of my students, well a lot of them come for swift. My students say. There not paying loans they said they would pay for them. AT ALL! Swift, took the money from there checks and kept it. Thats what the students are telling me and that is more than one student! Let me know if I can help.
