JB has called me many many times and said they have dedicated runs from my area. twice I called them back and both times they said I would have to join the company and put my name on the list, the dedicated runs are then given by senority, not at all what they say during the recruiting call.
Dont leave Maverick for JB, I understand if you want to do better, but you wont do it at JB,
My brother did try working for them last year and he lasted 2 months. he has over 30 years experience and he said it was the worst he had ever been treated

I would say the same as the others here. I work for J.B. but I am always looking for something better. I've got no tickets or accidents. I've heard of alot of guys going to orientation promised ded. only to find out the job was gone. It prob. happens at other companies too. Recruiters tell alot of lies alot of time. Also don't feel to special about being called by them. They call everyone. There are other companies that treat drivers way worst than the way J.B. sometimes treats ya. Werner was thousands of times worse then J.B to me. All and all knowing what I know about the Co. I would say they are alot better company to start out with than all the other starter companies. But I surely would not leave Maverick for them if I were you.

I work for JB rite now, and just started a new dedicated run out of Chattanooga, TN. I have to say the only reason I went with JB in the first place was to get on one of their dedicated routes. I put up with some unpleasantries with one dispatcher that was new, but other than that, I just did my work and put the time and miles in until this dedicated run opened up for me.
Now, it is ALL GRAVY!
I am home every day by 19:00, but usually by 15:00. I am home every weekend and dont leave until 04:00 to 05:00 on Monday mornings.
My pay is a standard set amount unless I have more than one stop per run, or if my shipper or receiver takes longer than 1 and 1/2 hrs to get me unloaded.
I and the other drivers on the fleet keep asking ourselves when are we going to wake up, because, so far, this dedicated gig has been pure heaven.
I know I may be cursing myself all to hell by writing this, but hey, I am having so much fun right now, I can't believe it. The last 3 weeks I have wanted to giggle as I get home every day before my wife and kid get home from school.
I know there has to be a catch somewhere, but I just haven't found it yet.
Like I said, I had to drive over the road for JB for almost a year before I fell into this job, but after I got used to the slow truck and driving with the CB radio turned off, it wasn't too bad.
Now, all the crap I had to endure driving my slow little JB truck is paying off. I haven't slept any where but my bed at home in over a month, and I dont really see me having to in the foreseeable future.
I know it will depend upon which dedicated run you get, but all I can say is the one I am one ROCKS right now.
Good Luck

BTW, just to let you know, I am NO cheerleader for JB or any other company. Just check out my past posts if you want to know how I look at trucking companies. Just thought I would add that, since I DO sound like the new sheepdancer on that last post. hehehe
