Make sure you get a military proof 1 million buck life insurance policy

ie they cant refuse to pay off if you are killed in the war zone

and they must pay into a fund if you are mia

and payoff if you are mia over 2 years

the 100k will not be paid unless you survive your entire tour and return home alive

and it will be less the deductions for so call health insurance

which was 2k a month or more

according to my buddy who survived 2004-2005

have an attorney look over your employment contract

to tell you exacly how much of the 100k kbr is going to shaft you out of

you may find you would rather stay here and make 50k a year at crete carrier

like i do

Im not looking for scare tactics or misinformation. If you look at the date of the article it is almost 3 years old. Furthermore, I don't know where you got the information that healthcare costs 2k a month. It is comparible to Crete's current format for a family. I drive for Crete so don't try and snowball me. Crete as well as other companies freight here in the U.S. is very slow. I want to speak or hear from people who have actually been there. Not hear from second hand sources of your buddies or family members. Unless they themselves are posting.

Default go drive for kbr I was telling you the facts

thats why I told you to take the contract they give you to an attorney

my partner joked about getting writers cramp signing all the pages

good luck with your blind faith in kbr

I pray you make it home

Be aware its against kbr policy for you to be armed

as for freight being slow at crete thats Odd,

i just got off a 3 week run and the only reason

I did not average 2800 a week was my driveshaft broke and layed me up at freightliner for 3 full days

yes i do drive for crete

I was there 3.5 years. Just came home in August. If the wife wouldn't have told me to come home, I would have stayed another year. What would you like to know?

I thought about applying there until I found out you cannot be armed. Not that a service pistol would do you much good in a fight, I would just want one with one round in it so I could take myself out rather than be captured...

Oh by the way, I wasn't thinking about applying there just for the money (like I've seen some accuse people of doing in previous threads). I tried to join the military a few years back, but for reasons I won't get into here I was unable to join the branch I wanted to.

There is no way that 100k is worth risking your life over. Cars can cost 45k for a nice GMC, a regular sized house can be 50 to 70k. There's no way I would risk it. Besides, after the US attacks Iran, there will be plenty of Iranian cell operatives causing havoc right here in our own country. When that happens, I would want to be right here.

good luck to ya driver. if i had no kids i would seriously consider going myself. the chance to be totally debt free in one year sounds awful appealing. again good luck.
