I worked for Auto Zone for eight months and yep, they're crooked as a barrel of snakes. I was promised a management training position and was in training - for about two weeks and got busted down to low man on the totem pole. Their employees have no set days off and because of that it's impossible to plan your life as they want you to believe that Auto Zone is your life! The last straw for me was when they promised me a weekend off for my youngest daughter's birthday and on Thursday evening told me I would have to work. I said adios, dude, I'm outta here!
Their drivers are treated right though and they have to unload as far as moving the pallets and totes to the tailgate and down to the loading dock and then into the back of the store, not hard at all. Their trucks run the gamut from Freight shakers to Volvos.
