I live in northern lower Mi. and am wondering if any drivers that work for Schnieder live in this part of the world, cause I'm wondering about how home time works living in this area, and also would like some feed back about Schnieder.

If you're a solo, you'll more than likely be regional OTR. That means two weeks out, two days off. You get one day at home for every seven days out.
If you're teaming, you'll get an extra day at home. Three weeks (minimum time out for teams) out is three days off plus one extra day for a total of four days. All this changes if you go to a dedicated account or intermodal or something.

I'm heading out for schneider training on Aug. 18th. I live only 30 miles from the green bay center, so it's very convienient for me. I'm really looking forward to being out there. From what I've seen (been there 3 times) the OC is very nice. lots of drive time in the yard and on the simulator, and the CR rep I had was excellent. Treated me like a customer even!
I'm going to be driving solo, and with us being so close to chicago, I'm hoping I get to see a good part of the country (instead of just chicago over and over...) Any word on how much of the country I can expect to cover?

I did give my 2 weeks once and right toward the end of that they had me way out IN CA on the day I was suppose to be done. So they routed me to Des Moines to be done a week late and I decided to stay on for a while. So that was the only real time I was "late" for anything. Again, www.pumpkindriver.com is a good resource for SNI info, but everyone is different, everyone has different out comes. You just have to learn that in trucking nothing is definite until it happens, but even then it might not be.. LOL.. If that makes sense. Basically you just have to be very flexible the more flexible you are, the better your time in this industry will be!
