I used to do a dedicated auto parts run and there were quite a few JDC drivers who picked up loads at the same plant I did.

Since the loads were often late going out I talked to quite a few and the opinions I heard about the company ran 50/50 good and bad.

One thing I can tell you in general is that JDC hauls lots of JIT freight, and a lot of that is auto parts. The schedules for these loads are tight and boil down to getting it there ASAP+ once you pick it up.

Lots of JIT (Just In Time) auto-part runs. If one of those loads is late, huge fines are assessed to the carrier because an entire assembly line could potentially be idled. That's why you see those JDC guys hammered-down 24/7. Probably alot of pressure to cook the books.

And do you want to be dealing with ANY company tied to the US auto industry?

So this will be my first Regional job!!! I've always been a local driver.... so with a wife, and 3 young kids, I can only imagine the pain I'm about to endure..... But hey, a mans gotta do what a mans gotta do right????

So the recruiter says with my Toledo, OH location, being regional, I'm guaranteed to have ALL weekends off, and most likely be able to touch home through the week.... but this can't be promised. So I'm not sure.... I was really hoping there was atleast 1 driver on here with current or prior first hand experience with the company. Any other info out there???

My husband was going to work for them. They have a terminal 5 mins away from our house. It would have been a great gig HOWEVER, my husband ran into a JDC driver at a Pilot, and the driver said they are going belly up and have filed for bankruptcy. There last day of operation is around December 12.
