Need company suggestions
Alright, so my hubby is officially "looking" and testing the waters with several other companies to see if we can do better than TransAm at this point, or if we need to wait.
We have talked to or are talking to:
TMC
Maverick (got turned down, got told to wait 6 months again)
Crete (looked at but could only get in OTR)
Sitton Motors (haven't actually talked to yet, just found out about them today)
Knight (very confusing company to try to figure out, not even sure if you have to be close to a term for all of it, or just for the 7/7)
At this point still, we are looking for somewhere that will get him home every 5-8 days or so, in order to make jumping companies worth it.
Anybody have any other suggestions? Or anything to say about picking from the current list?
Thanks!

Not since we were looking originally 6 months ago. Last we knew they wanted more proof than we were able to come up with as far as hubby's time home with the children/semi-self-employed.
Anybody have news on them since Prime took them over? Hubby's not real comfortable with that...

Well, last I heard, Passmore will be themselves for 5 more years. Apparently, Prime has some contract, or something.
A Passmore driver told me that it will be 5 years before Prime does have them.

Weird..but ok. Means they're probably worth checking in with again anyhow We had just kinda assumed they were Prime already.

Yeah, as far as I know, Passmore is still Passmore..
If your husband wants to something locally, tell him to keep M&M Manufacturing in mind. They pay good, and have decent benefits. Every so often, they are in need of a driver.

M & M had an ad in the paper a while back....don't recall exactly for what though.
For right now we are actually leaning against local. We are seriously considering a move back up into OK, and don't want to look at HAVING to change jobs at the same time. That and hubby likes being out, just not 3 weeks at a time. We'll keep them on the radar though, never quite know what will change for us.

Yah, part of what makes it so difficult I guess, besides his somewhat crazy work history, which is whats biting us with Maverick. He's been stuck on them since before he started, and we were looking when he was in school. But...TransAm is starting to be a problem, so not sure what trying to stay there another 6 months would look like, although it would definitely help the job history issue.
