Default Fuel

Has anyone gotten a red skin rash when/if they've experienced a fuel spill that contacted covered skin recently?
The automatic fuel cut-off didn't work at the pump I was on in the Van Horn Pilot, fuel spilled on my shin thru my jeans.
The red skin rash is unsightly for my part-time Chippendale's gig. BOL

Yes. What you have is a chemical burn.

I have also gotten them when I accidently over filled a Zippo lighter and some of the fluid leaked out in my pocket.

Just wash the area very good with warm water. Do not use soap! Just keep an eye on it. It should go away in a few days. If not, the go see your family Doctor.

Default Fuel

fireman, Uturn,
Thanks for the response, I knew I had a chemical burn, just hadn't gotten the same skin response from previous exposures. Is this a difference with the ULSD compared to the "old" diesel?
Itches like crazy so it must be healing, guess I'll have to get some leg makeup for the Chippendale's gig. BOL

Yes. It has additives that didn't come with the old one. The extra additives is for the 15 ppm sufer context rather the 500 ppm sulfer content.

Do like they told you, wash it off, and watch. It should go away.
