I often see a Koch truck, pulling a Best Buy trailer out in west Texas along HWY 82. I think, they haul lots of hardware type stuff. Cable, rope, chain, etc. Other than that, I dont know anything about Koch.

Best Buy is a pretty good gig from what My friend who works there. Of course right now, they are pretty slow, but its hit or miss... Electronics come out of Ardmore and appliances come out of TX. Nicer volvos, newish equipment. My friend hauls electronics out and beer out of Houston back in.

Well, I wondered where they were out of. I usually see that truck a couple times a week. Mostly, headin east. I guess, headin back to Ardmore.

good friend of mine worked for them. he was there for 3 years and was happy the first 2 but in the last year they have been doing him in good. keepin him out for 8 to 10 weeks at a time and only giving him 34 hours when he comes home. he (according to him) talked with this dm about getting home more and said that there was no way possable. plus he was only getting about 2200 miles a week.

he has since left them about 3 months ago and started a local gig.

not enough miles for me for being out for that long.

i ran into an ex pumpkin driver who went to Koch. He runs system and he seemed pretty happy with them. they just about own the twin cities. they have a big flatbed operation with Onan/cummins power generation hauling generators all over the place.
they seem like a good company if you're in the right place to get on board.
they run lots of volvos.

ok people.....I've now been at Koch for 7 months or so, personally, I'm happy, but, it depends on each persons circumstances....Me? I have a wife at work, no kids at home, no car payment, no credit card to pay, so 2200 miles a week, with a couple of extra stops at $30 a pop works for me, .36 a mile, Volvo with Inverter, a company that actually wants to work with you, had a safety meeting today, told they are buying 250 new trucks through 2008, I got a 2005 now, so kinda cool about it all.....they are looking to get extra work then running us all regional....500 miles out, 500 back....5 days a week, and I'm home every Friday!
Like any job, it's how you....the driver works it.....work with the company, they work with you...
