I can tell you that I could not seem to get more than 1800 miles average at Heartland Express. They would rather have you sit and wait at shipper for hours, than risk being 1 minute late. Trucks were set @ 63 MPH.
Ever thought about cold freight? 8)

Years ago I talked to them and got turned off before I could even think about going to heartland express. I wanted miles and not sitting at a dock every day. They told me their averge run was 600 miles, I knew Load in the after noon, run all night and unload in the morning, then start all over again. And also unless your were a team, you stayed pretty much east of the Mississippi River.
At the time I was running from Atlanta to Nj twice a week, and some times down to Florida for a 3rd trip if none of the previous trips had more than one stop.. And I was leaving out Sunday night, unloading Monday in NJ and reload and deleiver in Atlanta at 8 Am the next day, then do it all over again.
