However, I start my work at 7:30 am, and end in 10-14 hours. And I guess I'm paid OK, however, their are other companies around who pay more. But I like it here. I guess it differs from one company to the next. How much do you make an hour? And how many days a week?

I really enjoyed gas hauling. Got to see some real "interesting sights" when night riding..
Kenan or KAG is not a bad company to hook up with but, when did the company start paying by the hour?? The pay usually was per load.
That is my biggest fear... maybe a shock from static electricity, or a lightning strike. Do you ever get nervous around lightning storms when your delivering? I mean you have to stand there outside while it's happening. If a lightning bolt strikes the truck, would it blow up?
If a storm pops up while the truck is being loaded, the loading terminal would make the driver shut everything down as a safety precaution! If you drive with the knowledge of what is being hauled behind your tractor, don't let FEAR overwhelm you, treat that load with "respect" and drive with "common sense" you will do just fine as a "Gas Hauler!!"

We are in a slow time of the year, so I expect business to pick up.

Mark..since 1979, that accident is the only heart stopper I have ever experienced. Nothing close before, or since. Had there been more traffic..things could have been worse...or better.
What ever it is you decide to do, there will be the fruit's out there, doing what it is they do. You just need to remember that you have to look out for number 1, no matter what you haul. If you take good care of number 1, you will take good care of everything and everyone, else.
