My husband likes Davis Transport. If you have any questions feel free to pm me and I will try and answer.

Jeff Foster out of Superior Wisconsin runs across my part of the country often and their equipment is top notch and the drivers I've talked with who drive for them like them.

Foster has a very diversified operation and hauls alot of different types of trailers.

Found their website

You could look into Halvor Lines also out of Superior, Wi. They pull van, reefer and flats.

Default hmm this is just great.

yoopr i'm from the same area. upper michigan. lol. didn't think anyone else lived up here lol no that was a joke. ya my dad called foster a while back i just talked to him he said their insurance is too high for family. something like 400 and some odd dollars. Jumbo thats funny my dad worked for them for some time he resigned after 2 years. he has 3 years flatbed out of his 15 or 16 years. its really tough to find a otr job that pays good enough and gets u home up here. ya jeff foster bought some new t600's tho they look pretty sharp base color black with red lettering. but the insurance thing is keeping him from going to them. hes thought about calling halvorlines back. but he really hasn't got time 4 job searching i mainly check the stuff out for them he talks to the companies drivers. its all about the hiring area home time and benifits and either there is a company out there that we don't know about that has great everything (dream company) Anderson Trucking Service out of saint cloud minnesota is sending stuff every week but the home time is what is getting him 14 days away from home. its rough with him being out one week. but he might be getting some time off. he has a wrist problem its not carpletunnel i thought it was that from shifting so many years. but it might be messed up cartilidge and if thats so he will have plenty of time to job search with 4 weeks off. If his current employer got better equipment and a 4 or 5 penny raise he would stay. hes making 32 cpm off the odometer and he has to run many miles for us to make it by with my moms med bills from another long story. we are in a bind he needs to find a new employer bottom line. we live in upper michigan so any suggestions of companies to go work for ill help cut the list down. we know about tmc ats davis WILLE trucking halvor jefffoster thats all that i can think of that hires in our area. help plz

Here is the link. Usually I update the thread ever day or so. As far as the insurance I don't think the medical is that great. It was a 60/40 deal. We are going to look into buying insurance on our own. I think I can get a better deal at the same or lower price.

Best of luck to your dad wherever he goes.

Davis is a small company, very friendly, family atmosphere. They seem to care about their drivers and will work with you on things. They keep my husband running for the most part.

Flat bedding is more physical work it will keep you in shape. If your dad has flatbedded before he knows if he can handle it or not.
