Check out Glasman's Gordon/Interstate post. Gordon is a highly respected company based in WA. They have recently opened a new terminal in the mid-west. I don't remember which state. but, I know its up north and COLD!!!

I checked them out recently when I was deciding who to apply with. Their entire fleet is Freightliner Columbia and Century with 10 speed transmissions. They own the Freightliner dealership next to their corporate office in Pacific, WA. They have started putting APU units on their new trucks as they come on line. Last I heard (about a month ago) they had 150 trucks equipped with APU's.

Hope that helps.

You will find this blog of interest:

From what I've heard GTI seems to be one of the best of the bunch if you are going to do the OTR thing. They have good pay for new drivers in the van/reefer segment. They do run a lot of the 5 corridor from LA to Seattle.
