I've met alot of drivers who were happy witht the 4 on/4 off. most of them would average 2400 miles with the majority of them drop and hook. Course this was out of SLC, and we're the cream of the crop . At least that's what everyone says now that Aaron knight is TM.

well it depends on what terminal your out of and if your 11 western etc.. however "when freight is moving hometime is easy" now your kind of a victim of where the freight moves. they are a nationwide company so usually freight is all over if it's moving. im out of sl. so I do alot of SLC to northern cal, oregon, arizona etc...

oklagp1200r - "When I was in El Paso Tx the other day del. a load there were two El Paso drivers both on that system 4 on 4 off that said they were staving to death like I stated before slow freight, no freight and sorry ass dispatchers in other terminals cut throating them out of loads! " Happy now?
Back on topic Good boy ! Go to the head of the class... These 4/4, and 7/7 driving arrangements aren't for people looking for big paychecks. If drivers are starving in this system, they aren't in the right place. Personally, I see this as a great fit for an older, more financially secure driver that is too young to retire, yet still capable and desirous of working. I honestly believe, we're gonna see a lot more of these opportunities. It's up to the individual to determine which arrangement works best for their needs. When I was a much younger man, I needed to work long and hard hours to support my family, and did. I never expected I'd be able to care for them by working part-time. So the next time you hear a 4/4 driver whining about starving, you might suggest to him/her, they get a real job.
