Default Any info on Erb Transport & Challenger Motor Freight ???

Looking for info on Erb Transport & Challenger Motor Freight , who ply between Canada & the US. Also, is it possible to work for Canadian outfits like Erb, Celadon, Challenger or Schneider Canada as a Canadian driver, but be based out of a US terminal, say Pittsburgh ?

As a canadian graduate, living in the US, waiting for my marriage papers and K-1, Challenger and Schneider are co-op placements with the school I graduated from. They came highly rated. SGT2000 did not.

I was told by 2 recruiters that you cannot be a canadian, and hual all over the US. You can go in drop a box, pick one up and bring it back to Canada, but you cannot drop and pick up inbetween US cities.

Now if you get a job with a Canadian company, and want to transfer to the US that company may have an opening, and only if they are willing to sponsor you.

Like Mars said, if you're a Canadian driving on a Canadian license you won't be able to "interstate", meaning that you come down with a load, pick up a load and head back to Canada.

If you're a Canadian with permanent US residency you'll be getting a US license anyways and be able to interstate.

I'm a dual citizen and can work on either side. My problem though if I wanted to work for a Canadian company is the issue of reciprocity with my CDL... the Canadian provinces don't recognize the US CDL. So I'd have to start from scratch with the written and road test in order to get an AZ or Class 1 license in Canada.
