I would choose Swift.

Why? Swift does not push their lease purchase deal like England does, from both personal experience and reports given Swift is less likely to screw with your paychecks...from what I have been told by many former England drivers it is a common experience at England.

Ditto, and maybe a search of posts regarding these two companies on this site will give you some insights to work with.

Me, personally....I'd not pick either of them.

Swift. But I've worked for them before, and it's not nearly as painful as most would make it sound.

i'm well aware that they are not the two best choices around. But they are currently my only options. As for CR England, I would never do a leas program with them, no matter how hard they pushed.

anymore opinions/suggestions please? thanks

I'll have to agree with Skywalker - do a search, most of the pluses and minuses of these two companies have been beaten to death. I know I've written enough to publish a book on Swift in the past year or so.

Check out this blog http://a-truckers-journey.blogspot.com/
He went with CRE and just recently left for Roehl after CRE started screwing around with his miles. Has lots of good info about the SLC school.

If those are your only two choices available, then go with Swift.
CR England is the worst of the worse companies out there!!

I would have to agree that you should go with Swift. I talked to a guy who ran Company and then O/O and he has had nothing but problems with them.

I read that blog, every entry. Everyone here says swift. CR England seems OK for just getting some experience and moving on. So does swift. I'm set up to leave for the CR England trucking school in Salt Lake on sunday morning. Luckily it's only a 4 hour ride on the greyhound.
