Default Coastal Trasport/Comcar Industries

Hi guys just wanted too let people know if your thinking of Ct for flatbed work i dont recommend them anymore as i have been screwed over for the last time.
To let you all know how i run i try and do 2800-3000mi a week when Ct has the Frieght and my DM will tell you that iam#10 in all the CT terminals that produce the most Revenue at this time.
Ok to make a long story short i arrive in Jacksonville early this am to find my load for Birmingham,Al had been given to another driver simply because his load wasen't rdy.
So i called Dispatch and they informed me that another load was there for the same loacation but what they didnt know was the plant broke down and the load wasent going to be loaded so in short even tho i had a load plan i was sent back home.
So i ask am i being unreasonable when i say its time to find another company to work for even after i've been with coastal for almost 2yrs now.

Let me know what ya think

yes the time before this they had me signed up for class to be one of their trainer well all week they didnt say anyhting had changed till friday 300pm they cancel the class and after 300pm all the preloads for monday delivery has been dispatched so i had to wait till 900am that monday morning to get a load out.
Besides that when i first started they lost my Ins paperwork and was late getting enrolled in their ins and sametime lost 2weeks worth of my Logs that i had to also Redo.
So no its not just one incident just a number of them.
Thx for your input

I think the answer lies in your post. As far as dispatch knew there would be a load for you. If you should be mad at anyone, it should be with the plant not calling your company to cancel or postpone the load.

Greg
I agree with you too a point if that had been my original preplaned load but it wasent, mine was already loaded at the terminal.
Infact the load the driver took is still preplaned on me.So its going to be a cluster in the morning no matter you look at it.

Comcar sucks no doubt about it. I used to work for MD TRansport, Comcar has low pay, junk equipment and overall just a bad place to be. I used them for my training, and 1 year to the date i moved on. I was never a big fan of unions, until I worked there. In the mid 90's when I was there, we didn't get a raise and were still driving cabovers, but the boss had money to try and buy the Tampa Bay baseball team. You can do alot better than them. My advice would be to start looking. I have never looked back wishing i was still with them. my $.02 worth on Comcar Industries.
