Default Does experience count?

I’m a 10 year experienced driver but haven’t be able to find a good job on the charlotte area
What’s wrong with the trucking industry around here?
Last week I had an interview with a company that I know they pay $18 hour start back in NJ
And they told me its only $14 in NC?
Since all my experience is LTL, that’s what I been looking for, but I can go regional.
Does some one knows a company that is hiring with decent start around charlotte area
My email is [email protected]
I will appreciate any input thank you.

I hold a CDL A hazmt-tanker-doubles---- last traffic violation was a speeding ticket going
73 on a 65 mph zone back in NJ 12/20/2003
I hope I can get something before New Year or I will have to come back to my old job, because my
Pocket is getting empty ?

Default Pay

If a company in NC pays $14/hour to put butts in seats, why would they pay $18? You want $18/hour go to NJ. BOL

www.tcwonline.com try them

I'd take $14 an hour in NC over $18 an hour in NJ anyday of the week . The cost of living is generally higher in NJ . The traffic is worse and the crime rate rate is higher . It's just a cluttered mess .

You are lucky to be offered that in Charlotte, or most anywhere in NC. The pay rate for drivers in this state has been on a steady decline for the past few years.

With all the manufacturing jobs lost in the last 5 years, there are thousands of people lining up for any driving job they can get.

Some companies are paying $8.00 hr for experienced local drivers. I saw this ad last week, and someone probably took the job.

Go to all the big LTL websites and check their job listings for NC. They are almost non-existent.

Sometimes checking their website, doesn't necessarily mean if its not listed there, they aren't hiring. The best thing is to walk in and find out whats available.

Well I had apply with all the big guys around here, but is true there is not shortage of drivers around here
And the reason that I left NJ is because you can’t live over there no more, costs of living is to high
I just got a call for company that will start me at $16 no to bad since my mortgage here is $1300
Compare to $2200 back in NJ.
One last question does anyone knows anything about a company call bakemark they also offer me a job
With a ton of overtime. Google said is a bakery company that’s all I know
