Default Big or small??

In your experience, do you prefer a big company or a small (200 trucks) company? I prefer places that know your name when you walk into the door. What has worked for u in the past?

What worked the best for me was a combination of the 2.

When I was at Knight, which is a really big company, it had a small company feel while maintaining the stability of a large one because each terminal was run like a franchise. When it worked it worked great, but one or two kinks in the system can really make it suck in a hurry.

Same here. I'd rather work at a company small enough (or caring enough) to know your name, but big enough to offer the benefits, pay and equipment that I demand as a professional driver. You need SIZE to stay competitive in todays market but it's important not to let size consume you.

I like small outfits. I allways worked for companys with less then 15 trucks. Where i work now is the biggest company i have ever worked for and am just a #. It sucks. They Love to tell ya if you dont like your job theres nothing keeping you here. Just my 2 cents
