Thanks for all the replies!! Bascally terminal to terminal drop and hook with the exception of getting from Northeast down to Dalton Ga. or Montana down to LA. Watkins Shepard is a LTL outfit moves mainly furniture and carpet. Local guys gather the stuff together and the teams move it to a terminal where it is cross docked and moved out on truckloads. There are truckload loads that are a steady diet in order to get the truck in position. Watkins Shepard does have a 20K mile team bonus, along with a safety bonus. PM me for more information.

well Missoula and Billings both have a lot of good company's to work for. I think Watkins and Shepard, Jim Palmer Trucking and Davis are the big ones in Missoula. And Billings has Diversified and Waggoneers I think.

The only drawback to Missoula is the high cost of living. Real estate used to be pretty affordable there, but not anymore  . When I lived there from 92-93 it wasn't bad. My sister just bought a 2500 square foot house there last year for $385k  That same house here outside Austin can be bought for $150-185k. Not sure how Billings is as far as price goes.

Yeah, I was shocked to see prices in the Missoula area!! Yikes! I wonder if some of the smaller towns have better prices? Or... closer to Billings or Kalispell or something? We'd like to live near the Mountains!!
Thanks everyone for the good ideas!!

:? Well, I have lived in MT for 30 years now. Please do not move here, we do not want YOU! Added, there are no decent jobs for truck drivers here. Watkins shephard doesn't pay worth a darn. We work out of Utah ourselves simply because there is no decent work for truck drivers. Go away and never come Baaaaacccckkkk!

Yea, you can buy my house for $220,000, almost brand new. Nope , no truck driving outfits in the smaller towns, and No, Billings is expensive, just like every place else in this state unless you move clear up on the high line..that is in the north. I would stay put where you are at. Move to Wyoming, the mountains are there as well as anywhere you look. Plus, the grizzlies and the cats will eat you up here in MT
