Knight Transportation

Ok, once and for all. I have decided on Knight Transportation in Memphis. I will be leaving for there either on Sunday or Monday. I hope that it is what they say they are. I know that each terminal runs a different part of the country but I do not know what part that this particular one runs. My guess would be the southern part of the country. Anyways, here we go! lol

Uturn, When did you work for Knight Transportation? I left there a year ago this November. I never had any real major issues while there. I was just curious, it did sound like you had some experience with Knight. I just hate people that comment on companies that have had no experience with said company. You know anything about Knight Refrigerated?

My Brother works fro the van div. Runs dedicated out of Katy Tx. into Al.
Home regular and good equip. He was upgraded to a 379 after a couple years and is allowed to run 66mph. Has an apu(heat only)helps with fuel goals. His only complaint is slow trucks.

I really do not know anything about the Refer division at Knight. It was just getting off the ground when I worked there and they were, at that time, only hiring out of the western states.

I used to work there but out of the Indy terminal. I hear a few things have changed since I was there. Like the Wabasto heaters and the 64 mph speed limit. I have never dealt with the Memphis terminal but it is the same company so it SHOULD be just like the rest. Not holding my breath though. I never had any real problems while I was there last time either. But, Here we go again.

When I was there Memphis, Indy and KC worked well together since their respective drivers were constantly in eachothers area of responsibility. I spent quite a bit of time in the Memphis area and never felt I got the shaft or anything.
