Is there some where around Memphis that yall pickup or deliver to on a regular basis? I see a TMC truck just about everyday on I-40 east of memphis. sometimes the trucks are going east sometimes west, but there are almost always 70-80% of the time they are running deadhead. Today was a pete387, heading east deadhead. Sure looked sharp though!!!!!! Nice and shinny.

It's been a while since I was with TMC. There's the Temple-Inland in West Menphis. Drywall loads. There's also the Ameristeel (I think) in Jackson. Steel loads. That's just from the top of my head. Neither of those guarantees anything though. You'll still be home most weekends, but you may wind up never loading out of either spot. Often, you'll load out of someplace that is a couple hundred miles away from home on Friday, take it to the house, then deliver a couple hundred miles away Monday morning. Makes for a good weekend at home, and decent paycheck. I wouldn't worry about it. 8)

Headin for DM tomorrow. Long bus ride ahead. Can't wait to get going and get it over with. Haven't rode a bus for 30 years!! I don't think they have improved any. At least the ride is free! Couldn't swing the airline on such short notice. I guess this will get me into the OTR mode.

Im not worried about it just curious thats all... i know ill get home every week more or less. IM pretty much narrowed down to TMC or MAverick depending on who takes me in first. Im starting CDL soon not sure when went down to the local CC to get things moving and found that the class starting on the 25th is already full. they guy didnt know when the next classes started soo..... its in nov sometime... anyhow.. from reading posts here ive figured it out that im better of not oweing anyone anything to get my lic. anyhow i just thought it was odd that i see a truck deadhead all the time and figured there HAS to be somewhere around here they are either leaving from or going to somewhat close by. Shoot even a couple weeks back maybe 3 at the most i seen a TMC truck going through my town at 4am one morning and were a good 20 miles off of i-40, and he wasnt even headed towards the interstate. cant remember if he was loaded or not. i think he was... could have been trying to skip the scales in brownsville ... i hear they are pretty bad... thanks for the info.. if anyone else know of any places ournd memphis TMC goes to chime in........

We load in bunch of places around Memphis. We DLV a lot of steel down off 7th ave at least i think that's the street name. its just south of the truck stop they closed down. Then we load a lot of Sheetrock and eucalyptus chips out of west Memphis. some of the guys prefer to go over to Jackson, tn. to pick up a load of steel.

The noobs are also able to shift on the 13 speed in orientation instead of the Super 10.

I talked to Alicia today about driving for TMC. They had an ad in the Rapid City,SD paper so I called and she said I could be home just about every weekend. The pay and benefits sound pretty good and the trucks are nice.I have 6 years of experience hauling livestock, reefers and grain trailers all over the US.Is there anyone out there that lives in western SD and can tell me if every thing is on the level or if I should look elsewhere. Also I am not to crazy about 4 weeks with a trainer,I haven't had to run with anyone that long since I was 21. Thanks and I will be waing for a reply.
