Does anybody remember the bingo in Ontario, CA. Or the messup in Jessup.

I've been in nearly every medium to large truck stop in the country and many of the small ones and, I have to say that the TA in Conley, GA before they closed it was hands down the worst of any of the big chain locations anywhere. The TA in Jessup, MD is pretty bad, but it’s Club Med compared to that dump in Conley.

Just about any truck stop in south Florida is a dive, but the old Dade Corners truck stop on FL-997 and US-41 in Mimi Gardens, FL (kitty corner from the Miccosukee Indian Casino) was so bad that I walked into the bathroom once and ran right back out and opted to take a dump my garbage can before dropping my drawers in that place. It was a real ***** hole.

The rat hole in Orlando isn't worth stopping at. These nasty overpriced fuel stops with the crappy food only stay in business because desperate truck drivers spend money there.

In some cases, I'm sure there are "added attractions" in the parking lot when the sun goes down. I know that I'd heard enough stories about Conley, GA, even though I stopped in there twice (first time and last time). There are some drivers that are always in the market for some entertainment before going to sleep. Conley had them, Orlando probably does, and Fort Wayne in Indiana did before they cleaned it up and spent money on the parking lot. I used to enjoy watching the girls in the parking lot, but wouldn't dare do any business with them.

That might attract enough drivers to give them the business to stay open.
