Default Dashcams

Just wondering how many people are using dashcams in their truck. I've been thinking of getting one since there seems to be more and more idiots on the road every day.

Here's 2 that I've checked out. One is the same one that they're selling in the Petro/TA kiosks. The 2nd one has dual-cameras (inside & outside), plus GPS to record your speed, location and direction of travel.

Here's a link to the 1st one (non-gps, single camera):

Here's a link to the 2nd one (the gps one):

Yes, it suggested to have one for every drivers, it is really useful to be evidence for claims, the EU and US governments have required all vehicles to have one dashcam since 2011, it is said that more than 50% of vehicles in Russia have a dash camera installed.
You can find many quality dash cameras here: In Car Cameras | Car DVR Camera | Car Black Box | Dash Camera

I don't know about you, but when I was driving, there was nothing going in inside the truck that would have been of interest to anyone. What? Look at an empty sleeper? But, the view on the outside proved to be helpful more than once. And, I heard about other drivers that found it saved them. A double-edged sword, but if you were doing everything right, it won't lie about what some 4-wheeler did. I'd go with the single view. No one needs to look at an empty sleeper for 8 hours.

I bought a real cheap one a few years ago. It hasn't saved my ***** but I have caught a few interesting videos. I had a hard drive crash and lost most of them. Here is one example, at night in the dark. Daytime videos are much clearer, and if you bought a new dashcam, the quality is even better than mine.
