In 1988 she delivered a televised apology to Vietnam veterans and their families, a gesture that didn't mollify everyone but established some distance between the new Fonda and old Fonda, whose actions, she finally admitted, had been "thoughtless and careless."

Your close to my age arn't you? Don't you remember the News Reels of her doing this? I know I've seen them and remember them well.

This would be a slap in the face for every American if she gets this award.

I didn't state she was without fault. I was trying to point out this bogus e-mail that was flying around the country.

I'm 34 and didn't even know who she was until the mid 80's.

She already got the award in 1998. Have your welts subsided yet? 8)
