I'd like it to be known that I'm fed up with some of the postings some people put on the board. There's no need to them and it makes the board look bad as well. A "person" Ludvigsram posted in "New Truck Drivers Get Help Here" section. O.K. I know some guys might enjoy seeing these pics but I'm sure others don't as well as the women who read the postings. This is not what this board is meant to be for is it?? I hope some of you moderators can do something about these. Thank you. Drive safe everyone.

"The Driver's Lounge" had to shut it's site down to get rid of the spammers.
They have been down for a couple weeks I think now. One's like this one...really only WANT to cause trouble...not profit it would seem. Or it is simply a callous disregard...which indulgence in any moral decadence can and does produce. I frequent a guitar site...and we get garbage like this there also....although not this severe. They are always just links, not graphic photos, but as in this website...they sometimes print insensitive material also.

There's no board hack that can be put in place to restrict images to a certain number of posts. We have put in the hack to require a certain number of posts before PM's, so that at least has eliminated the PM spam.
But here's where the problem is. They spam this site because they know it gets them hits. For that matter, the spam all trucking sites. Truck-net has been getting hit with the same azzhats. When these lowlifes post spam, they get hits from people on this site, clicking their links. Their traffic logs show it, so this is deemed a hot site to spam and they keep coming back and posting messages. It might be up for 5 minutes or a couple hours, but it's enough to get a few clicks on it. And they target truckers because enough of them are patrons of their type of 'arts.' I don't say that to stereotype or anything like that, but we're talking about a segment of the population that is out on the road away from friends and family for weeks at a time. Why do you think the adult superstores out on the highway do wo well? It's because they are catering to the 'lonely' and the 'unsupervised.' There's one on I-80, some 20 miles outside of Des Moines. It is quite literally, in the middle of nowhere. But every time I've drive by it, the lot as been full of trucks. Once again, this is not my perception of the industry as a whole. But they only need a handful to be successful. And in the case of spamming a messageboard, a couple of clicks are enough to ensure they will keep coming back. So, if a spam pops up, a mod will get it. If no one is on, you could also send us a PM. Thanks.

Twilight when I saw this last night there wasn't a moderator on at the time. I didn't think I could PM anyone cause I thought they were still not working. I see the posting's gone now. Thanks very much.
Drive safe everyone.
