O.K. first to answer some of your questions.
1) The dog avatar is one of my 2 dogs. He's an amazing dog, and I like to show him off. 8) 2) What breed of dog is he?.... He is a German Pinscher. If you want to learn more about the breed check out the internet, and you can learn more about them. They are a rare breed in the US. They also go by other names, Standard Pinscher, Medium Pinscher. But, officially, they are known to the AKC, and the UKC, as the GERMAN PINSCHER. 3) Why did I use his image instead of my own? I don't see most of the other members here using their own photos. Not that I couldn't use my own. I simply like my privacy. If I find someone I would be interested in getting to know, in time, I'm sure I would share a photo of myself with them. It isn't a matter of "pretty", since beauty is in the eye of the beholder anyway. Just look at celebrities. Some people might think George Clooney is a handsome man, and I'm sure some people may think otherwise. Or, some people may think Nicole Kidman is a beautiful woman, and others may disagree. Everyone has their own idea of what, and who is beautiful to them. Frankly, there are a lot of people out there that are not attractive, and yet, they manage to be friends, lovers, and even spouses. Go figure... Must be something more to each of these people then meets the eye, aye?... 4) Oh and as for the suggestion of "Match . com", the problem with any so called dating website, is that they do not match people up by their interests, habits, flaws, etc... Like I can't sort through to find someone who likes what I like for interests easily. I like horses, I like driving adventures, site seeing, exploring, I like sea food, chinese food, some Italian food, a little Mexican food, BBQ, English food, or traditional American food. It's tough to sort through those who are drinkers, and those you certainly can't figure out who is a drug user. I can't simply put in that I want a quiet life in the country with a couple horses, dogs, maybe a few other farm type animals, and a guy who is content with having such a life. Who is equally interested, and shares similar personality traits. Plus, why pay for a membership, if you don't have too... Only to discover you've wasted both your time, and money....  :x Hope that answers all your questions... 8)

RR, when you say " DRINKER " do you mean all drinking or what ? I see nothing wrong with a beer after mowing the yard in 100 degree heat or while flipping the steaks on the grill. ( But that ain't me :P ).
I'm more of a : If it wasn't for Jack Daniel's, there would be a lot of lonley women out there, kind of guy. :P Jack Daniel's is also great for weight loss; I drank better than 200 pounds off a gal one night ops: You do realise I'm just kidding around, right?

I've seen enough of the destruction alcohol can cause people on television. From alcoholism, to drunk drivers killing people, to domestic violence, abuse, even leading some people to kill under it's influence.
The affects it has on the body, liver disease, bladder disease, and it definitely makes some men who drink heavily look pregnant, with a beer gut.  Alcohol does nothing to benefit human beings. It merely distracts them from reality, and leaves them with regrets, hangovers, or worse... It maybe a "legal" drug, but, it's negatives far out weigh it's use. :x If you want a refreshing "drink" on a hot summer day, have a milk shake, soda, ice tea, ice coffee, Lemonaide, or mixed fruit juice with some ice cubes, or a "slushy"...
