He claims that on Sunday when the team had a final practice before leaving for New Orleans he had a change of heart, his players got to him and he decided he liked being around them and wanted to stay around them, that he wasn't quite ready to retire. The school was willing to let him go as a coach, he was going to stay with UF though as an advisor to the team and coaches. That would have been a great move with the health issue's, all he has to do is sit back and watch the game and if a player or coach has a question he answers it. No game-planning, no recruiting trips, just tell them his thoughts.
