Default Pacman to the Cowboys

Just saw on ESPN where Tennessee has agreed in principal to trade Pacman Jones to the Cowboys. Comments anyone? 8)

Boy, that one's a head-scratcher. No denying the boy is talented and addresses the Cowboys 2 major needs of a corner back and kick returner. But what the hell is Jerry thinking going to the criminal element? Geez.

Taking T.O. was one thing...but T.O. was never a felon or in trouble with the law. He was just a major head case and prima donna and the Cowboys turned out to be a good fit for him...allowed him to grow his ass up and learn to be a team player. I actually like the T.O. of today, whereas I hated the T.O. of yesterday.

But PacMan Jones? If it works, Jerry will be a miracle worker. But I tend to think it isn't going to work and that PacMan will be in trouble before the year is out. Maybe he'll surprise me, but I'm not optimistic.

Interesting, though, to see which veteran WR the Cowboys are pursuing right now. If they get a good solid deep threat to run opposite T.O., the Cowboys are going to be just about impossible to beat this year.

I'm surprised he didn't end up in Cincy with his criminal record. He would have fit right in there for a week before being booted from the team. Dallas will work for him though, no chance of being booted from the team for being in trouble(see Leon Lett, Coke Machine Irvin.) Jerry just has to keep that old Dallas saying from the rest of the league, "It's where the criminals go to play."

Dallas also has a pretty good record of turning around guys, too. It remains to be see whether they'll be successful with this guy. Again, I'm not optimistic.

Only if they can keep Jessica out of the stadium.

I thought that the Raiders used to be the place where the criminals went.

Don't forget we also took in Tank Johnson after he was released by the Bears for the firearms charges last year.

Well, it'll be interesting to see how it all pans out. Dallas had a great draft, but they didn't go after any receivers. That leads me to believe they've got a deal in the works for a veteran receiver out there. I've heard Bolden and Chad Johnson being bandied about as possible trades.

As far as Pacman goes, you have to admit they're doing it the right way. No guaranteed money, a behavior clause, and low pay until he proves himself.

Maybe Jerry will assign T.O. as Pacman's mentor! 8)
