NY still blows

Congress needs to leave this alone. Tell the self-serving pompous clown to take a hike. The tapes of the Jets were destroyed because Goodell thought it was taken care of but someone in the league office leaked the tapes to the media. He then had them destroyed and if anymore show up, they will also be destroyed. As for the new claims, the league knew about these "new" claims when they were investigating the Jets accusations of the Pats and checked into it, nothing was seen. Sounds to me like someone from New York actually leaked the rumor to the Boston Herald.
This is the NFL, everyone cheats on every play. It's the only way to win, every O-lineman holds on every play, if they didn't the offense would not go anywhere because it is impossible to block someone perfectly legal without grabbing some part of the jersey. If your not cheating, then your in last place in the league every year. Every team has a spy with a camera, they just know how to keep their mouth shut and blend in better.

I didn't know that San Francisco had a football team
If that. 8) Actually, to be honest, the 49er's might be the dark horse within a couple of years. They've got some young talent. Another year of experience is going to make them dangerous. By the way, that'll be the Cowboys winning next year's Super Bowl.

Now yer dreamin'.
![]() I read a story I think on Saturday where Bret back-pedaled and said he wasn't yet sure about coming back next year. Thought that was surprising, but it kind of makes sense in the end. It's going to be hard for him to put lightning in a bottle for a second straight year and teams are going to come in prepared for him better if he does come back. Still, even if he retires and Rodgers steps in, the Packers can be a good team next year. Their young guys stepped it up in a huge way this year. I just think that the Cowboys next year will be dominating. They have the best NFC team across the board in terms of personnel, with little to nothing in the way of question marks. They have excellent draft pick slots in April and lots of room under the salary cap. Most importantly, the playoff loss to the Giants is going to be a HUGE motivator for them all year and Jones has come out and said that he won't see another December slide again. That's why the Giants went all the way...because they didn't slack off and Jerry and company know that. The Giants kept playing, even when it didn't matter what the outcome was and that kept them sharp and focused all the way to the end. The Cowboys know that, they know that they had all the keys to be in the Super Bowl this year and they let it get away from them. That won't happen again and the Cowboys will play all year with a chip on their shoulder. 13-3 isn't a bad year. 14-2 or better and a Super Bowl ring will be even better.

Twilight you might be interested in knowing that Jerry is gonna try to get Darren McFadden in the April draft. He attended many Razorback games this past year and likes what he see in Dmac. Romo can either throw it to T.O. or hand it off to Dmac and that can mean points on the board! 8)

They've got plenty of draft potential this year, it's slightly possible they would try and move up to get him, but I rather doubt it. Why go after McFadden when they've got Barber, unless he doesn't plan on keeping Barber, which is rather stupid in my opinion. Barber is a horse and a feature back no matter where he ends up. He's a devastating rusher, a good blocker, and he catches the ball out of the backfield as well as anyone in the game. He's the perfect RB for the type of game the Cowboys play.
McFadden will go high...I don't see Cowboys trading up that far to get him, especially when they have no needs in the RB department, unless they decide to create the need. I could see them going after another WR in the first round, but I'm not sold on that McFadden rumor that's been going around. The only thing I could see with that is that they trade Barber for a 1st rounder, then move up to get McFadden and use their other first rounder to get a WR. I suppose that's a possiblity, but I still can't see them wanting to lose Barber. He's just too good and is already established. |
