Did ya get in on any of the tailgate parties Yoop? Up there in Green Bay I'll bet they had brats cooked in every way imaginable. Last night I cooked some Johnsonville brats in the oven and then served them on buns with some Bavarian sauerkraut. THEY WERE DELICIOUS!! 8)

I have been to one Cowboys game. During the '97-'98 seasons, they held their training camp at the Midwestern State University campus, here in Wichita Falls. I won a pair of tickets to a game. I about fainted. My dad, and I went to the game. It was in '97, if I remember right. That was also the first time that my dad went to Texas Stadium. If I remember him telling me right, he, and his brothers have seen the Cowboys play, when they played in the Cotton Bowl. After going to that game, as much fun as I had, I'd just soon watch them on TV. It was kinda hard to keep up in person.

I kinda wish we were playing the Cowboys up here at Lambeau. Maybe next year.
We've got state of the art Natural Turf which is amazing-after the game there were no Duffs or divets anywhere. I think it cost one half of a fortune but somehow or another it's all Interwoven. Did ya get in on any of the tailgate parties Yoop? Up there in Green Bay I'll bet they had brats cooked in every way imaginable. Yeah-I went to Brett Favre's Tailgate Party at his Steakhouse where I parked for the game and had a couple Johnsonville's and a group of Packer fans came up from Mississippi and I ate a Bunch of their Cajon food. Love the stuff

Yoopr, we might just see that game, for the NFC Title game. I guess, they could play each other for the NFC Title.
So, Yoopr, do yall still have the undergound heaters? (I think Lambeau had them)

The Cardinals were favored to win against the Lions before the game started and I couldn't for the life of me figure that one out. I guess they show something I didn't see.
This turf is unbelievable and something we really needed at Lambeau with it being a open Air Stadium and the extreme change in temperatures: Packers to install new turf in 2007 Surface promises to provide durability By DON WALKER [email protected] Posted: Dec. 7, 2006 Technically speaking, it will still be the Frozen Tundra. Advertisement Buy a link here But the Green Bay Packers' announcement on Thursday that it will switch to a new grass surface at Lambeau Field that includes synthetic fibers is another indication that technology and times change. "We are trying to move forward with the times," Packers Chairman Bob Harlan said. "It's just a more durable field." The new turf - a natural grass surface reinforced with man-made fibers - will be installed in time for next season. DD GrassMaster, as the turf is known, will be installed on top of a completely new drainage and heating system. The new system will be identical to the playing surface at Clark Hinkle Field. The coaches and the players love the surface there, Harlan said, so it made sense to put it in place at Lambeau Field. The Packers made the decision after years of sodding and re-sodding Lambeau Field. Season-ticket holders know that, as the season wears on, so does the field. The middle portion of the field was just re-sodded for the remainder of the 2006 season. Harlan said purists might be critical of the decision to switch to partially man-made field. "I don't see this taking away from our history," Harlan said. "The field will still get muddy. It will still freeze. It will still get snowy and slippery. There's enough reality there." He added: "I've been on the Hinkle Field many times and you don't get the feeling that it's fake. It seems very real." The DD GrassMaster surface also is used by the Denver Broncos, Philadelphia Eagles and the Pittsburgh Steelers. It was first developed in the Netherlands in the 1980s. Mike McGraw, a representative for Desso DLW, which manufactures the turf, said he was well aware of the significance of Lambeau Field. "I know about the hallowed nature of Lambeau Field," McGraw said. "One thing I can say to alleviate any concerns is that the synthetic fibers that are injected into the base really don't come into play in the performance of the grass system. It will play just like a grass surface. But you won't see divots or severe damage that can occur in bad weather. We really view it as an enhancement of a grass system." The turf is on top of sand-based soil, which its promoters say allows better drainage in bad weather and more consistent footing, compared with the clay-based soil now in place. The project will begin after the season. Once the field is stripped down, the first layer will be a clay base with drain tile and irrigation piping. The second level will consist of 4 inches of gravel with miles of tubing for the new heating system. Then, 12 inches of sand will be put down. And, finally, the new sod will be put in followed by the man-made reinforcing fibers. Depending on the work schedule, the new sod will be installed in early April or early May. After the sod is firmly rooted, workers will stitch the man-made fibers in place. One change that will be noticeable to fans is the lack of a perceptible crown on the field. Team officials said there would be a slight slope. Harlan said the team expected to save money over the long term because there will no longer be a need to sod and re-sod each year. Turf is done-this was written last year

The Cardinals are a pretty good team this year...they'll make a playoff run, no doubt. Warner has a bit of the old magic and he's healthy. Leinart is out for the season, but that's probably the best thing for him. He's got a year to learn under a veteran that's been there. The Cardinals will be tough down the stretch.
Lions are better that their lose yesterday, too. That division is between them and the Packers and they're nowhere near being out of it.
