Junior fined
#1
No joke this time. His illegal brackets on the rear wing cost him 100 driver points, putting him 14th, and 94 points back of the 12th spot and a berth in the Chase. It cost Tony Eury Jr. $100,000 and a 6 week suspension. The team was docked 100 car owner points also.
Team said it was a simple mistake, they accidentally put on some brackets that had been used in NASCAR tests before the COT debuted. Team also says that they never changed the brackets, they were the same one's that passed opening inspection and qualifying inspection but failed raceday inspection. No word on whether Junior will hold up his end of the bargain by paying off Tony's fine as he was quoted on after the race Sunday.

Losing Tony is as big as losing the points. Him and Tony work great with one another thru all the fighting they do over the radio. Last time Junebug was without Tony, he stunk the joints up until Steve Hmiel(his current spotter) got up on the box as crew chief. He started running decent, wonder if Steve will come down from the spotter stand for 6 weeks.
