After Barbaro last year, I doubt the excitment level will ever be the same; but it sure would be nice to have another triple crown winner after all these years!

I never have watched horse racing. I like the cuttin horse shows. Anyway, it's funny how they spend all day visiting with the horses, and riders, then they spend the last 5 minutes, actually racing. :P

it's really funny seeing all the hoity-toity rich folk in their sunday best drinking mint julips in the grandstands, then seeing all the rednecks drinking beer and partying it up in the infield like there at a NASCAR race! Only at that horse race will you see such a mix of people like that!

That was an incredible finish. From basically last to first in half a track. 20 horses ran and Street Sense goes from 19th to the win after dropping back and letting everything settle down. Went by one jockey so fast, the jockey nearly fell off. Don't know if Sense had been turned loose from the get go if he would have made it to the line, but good lord, looked like a Secretariet run over the 2nd half. The horse is money, had the highest payout in the history of the Derby and has not finished outside of the money in any of it's 8 career races.

Secretariat was the greatest. This years' race was just ok.
