That's too bad. I always liked him...great coach. I wondered, though, after what happened a couple of weeks ago if he was getting close to calling that final play.

He apparently collapsed during a TV taping and was rushed to the hospital with heart problems. It was pretty serious and he was there a couple days before being released.

I found this in a news clip. They took him to Providence Hospital in Southfield, a Hospital I worked at for 2 years back in the 70's. One of the greats, and he will be missed. Gave us all many great memories.

Schembechler collapsed Friday during the taping of a television show and was taken by ambulance to a hospital.

Former Michigan coach Bo Schembechler was rushed to the hospital from the television studio for the second time in less than two months.

He became ill at WXYZ-TV in Southfield the day before the Ohio State-Michigan showdown, the station said. Schembechler also was hospitalized Oct. 20 after falling ill at the same studio.
