Dark_reaper go get your cdl if you can pass the test. Driving a tractor trailer is a radically different thing but you at least have the gist. You could rent a truck. I have a suggestion though. Arkansas state university has a training program star transport uses. Stars drivers contract for 5 grand but people who pay cash paid 2200 back in the day. Probably a hair more now. And it is a VERY good school. The guy who runs it said other companies offerered them contracts but wanted them to cut training time and he wouldnt do it. HE wanted to produce good drivers. I'd also contact the companies down there. I'll bet they need exactly what you do.
I've thought about the oilfields myself but it sounds like all the nightmares of otr trucking plus being ripped off left and right by every store and conman in the country.
