Default ELD backlash

I just read that South Dakota is filing a legal brief or some other complaint to Congress in an effort to get rid of the ELD mandate. SD is the first state to take steps against this dangerous law and intrusion on truckers rights. I hope other states follow suite. It would help if drivers in other states would contact to heir state representatives and encourage them to follow SD's lead. I contacted one of my state representatives and he asked me to put my thoughts down and get it to him.

Gman there is guy running for Congress in your state that is doing some great things in the fight against the ELD. Look him up he is a really good guy that I have talked to many times. His name is Vito Sagliano.

You need to call your State people daily and let them know your feelings. Most have no clue what a ELD is and how it is effecting you. My State people have told me the ATA and the Mega Carriers have people in the halls everyday telling them how much safer the roads will be with the ELD. Most of the people in DC only know what they have been told by the ATA and the Mega Carriers. The only way your State people are going to know what is really going on with the Hours of Service, Parking, ELD malfunctions, lost revenue, wait times at shippers is if you educate them DAILY!!! All of them!!!!
