Default 34-hour restart

The DOT study showed that the strict provision didn't create any benefits, and it's been confirmed that they will be removed.

Annnnnddddd............replaced with what? A 48 hour restart? No restart at all? I personally need a solid 48 hours after a week of hard pushing. By the end, the 10 hour off becomes 12 for me. First few days, I'm ready to roll at 8 hours yet not legal for another 2 hours, but by the 4th and 5th day I'm beat and 10 hours isn't quite enough.

Only thing that is not being renewed is the 0100-0500 provision and the 1 reset per week. The 34 reset is still in effect, just went back to the original way. I never worried about it even with the once per week or 0100-0500 thing. If a reset couldn't be done, just recapped the hours and drove on. You know, the way we did it since 1938 before all this current nonsense came about.

Yep, I never worried about that silly provision the last few weeks. Running nights tends to make doing it extremely impossible!
